Question: What would be a good song to sing to try out for Alice in Wonderland!?

Im trying out for a youth organization type thing and Im having issues picking a song!. Im 15 and a girl!. HELP!!!

Whenever you audition for a musical you shoudl pick a song in the style of the show that suits 'your' voice!. If you have a character in mind you could look for a piece that suggests that character!. So, for Alice you might look for an ingenue piece or a humerous pieces that is sung by a young woman!. So, maybe Shy (Once Upon a Mattress) if you are a belter or In My Own Little Corner (Cinderella) if you are more of a soprano!. Avoid over done pieces, eg!. Popular (Wicked) is so overdone now that a musical directror may not want to hear it again!.

Above all, pick the song that is right for you!. If there are notes that you can't quite reach or that sit funny in your break, avoid them!. also stick to the genre (Musical Theatre is different from Pop and Disney)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
