I bought tickets to take my Mom to an Andre Rieu concert because she loves his music!. I'm afraid I don't know anything about him and I'd like to get familiar with his songs before I go!. Does he play the same songs every concert!?

How very thoughtful of you to take your Mom to an André Rieu concert!. My daughters took me to my first André concert last December as a Christmas present and I have been hooked on his music ever since!. He is best known for performing waltzes, but he also plays marches, patriotic songs, musicals, operas and tells funny stories and jokes with the audience throughout the concert!. Here is a list of songs that he and his orchestra performed at an American concert last May: 76 Trombones, Voices of Spring, Blaze Away, Mozart Medley (A Little Night Music), Chianti Song, Nessun Dorma (a beautiful tribute to Pavaratti), Salomé, Sabeltanz (Saber Dance), Sports Palace Waltz, Ave Maria, The Gypsy Princess, Lasst den Kopf Nicht Hangen, This Land is Mine, Roses from the South, Komm Zigany, Memory, The Blue Danube, Oh Fortuna, Radetzky March, and the encores were Strauss & Co!., Libiamo, America the Beautiful, Stars & Stripes Forever, Amazing Grace, Marina and Brahm's Lullaby!. His encores are usually well-known songs from whatever country he's performing in!. There are many videos of his performances on You Tube!.
