What is a good bass guitar?

Question: What is a good bass guitar!?

i am looking for a bass guitar for my friend!.
he is trying to find a bass guitar where the strings are very close to the fret board on the lower frets because his is angled or something like that and the strings almost touch on top but you have to press them down much more to touch the fret board on the bottom!. please list cheap to mid-range bass guitars that are good for beginner to intermediate bassistsWww@QuestionHome@Com

his action is too high and it is easily fixed!. look up a how to video online on how to lower the action on a bass guitar or better yet take it to a local music store and have them do it!. but there are a lot of "good" bass guitars it's just about what suits his style and feel best!. and no matter what you buy the action, or strings, should be low or close to the neck and if not then like i said it is easily fixableWww@QuestionHome@Com
