Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: your agent doesn't have to live next door!. you have a telephone and internet!. a mobile phone is handy when either of you need to get in touch anytime either one of you is on the move!.!.you can have different agents for different areas, like film, theater,etc!., agents in la,ny - anywhere !!. in the mean time, try disney!.com for audition information!. ask about studio8 productions!.also!. you need to get all the practice and training in school you can!. do plays, musicals, anything to gain experience in performing,making connections, networking!. it's important to have a good headshot with attached resume of your personal data and experience, a cd/dvd with examples of your work, to demonstrate what you can do- are you marketable!. your possible agent will need this information to find the auditions that you could fit into for you to audition for and hopefully land a role!. find out if there are any productions going on in your vicinity from the california film commission office!. try out as an extra to get familiar with location productions!. you could end up as a featured player or getting a speaking part to earn money, and keep looking for credit work and cd/dvd's provided to performers for their work credit!. learn names,job titles and make connections!. today you could be an extra in a short scene, tomorrow or months later asked to try out for a role in a full feature film!. remember: at 14 you will need a parent with you at auditions,and to sign permission documents,etc!.!. check out websites like backstage!.com,la411!.com,variety!.com,aftr!.!.!. and s!.a!.g!.!.com!. these sites can provide you with a wealth of valuable information you can use!. check out all of their features and articles!. also try try central casting in burbank to get yourself listed in the biz book for new talent- centralcastingla!.com!.!.!.will give you the address and info you need!. good luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com If you're willing/able to travel to auditions, you can definitely get an agent!. Lots of people have agents but live in other parts of the world!. If you're wanting to break into LA, it's a good idea to have some experience under your belt!. Try some local stuff and then take a trip down to LA to hand in your headshot/resume!. Agencies see many, many, many people every day, and while you may be very talented actor, to them you are another face!. Get some experience to set you apart!.
