Sure you can, but you should probably look for a piano teacher that doesn't come to your house so that you can play on their piano, but practice on your keyboard!. That way you can get the feel of the pedals and such, and you won't be wasting money on a piano if you decide not to pursue it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yeah of course you can!. I did piano lessons with a keyboard for years, and my piano instructor would constantly tell me that "you need to buy a real piano - they have completely different sounds!." But I could NOT afford to buy a thousand dollar piano!. :) They may advise you to, because maybe you'll have scales where you'll have to use a really really low C or something, which you might not have on your keyboard!. Otherwise you'll be perfectly fine!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It depends - does your keyboard have weighted keys, and is it touch sensitive at all!? If yes to both of those, you would be ok to learn on it!. Playing a real piano in comparison is going to feel a bit weird after learning on a keyboard though!. If you wanted to go for grades etc, I would suggest most of your practice needs to be on a piano (elec or real)!.

Do you play your keyboard!? If not could you sell it to help towards pay for a piano!? You can get good electric pianos these days, that you can plug headphones into so no noise, and they don't need tuning!.

Or would you be happy with keyboard lessons if you don't already play!? Www@QuestionHome@Com

No reason why not, but most piano teachers will have their own piano!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yeah!.!.!.!.but!.!.!.!.make sure the keyboard keys are weighted like a piano and at least have a sustain pedal!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
