Question: Can I play my acoustic guitar!? It's been entirely painted!.!?
A friend of mine spray painted my acoustic guitar entirely white!. The whole thing, fretboard, and all!.

Is it possible to play this thing again!? Can I attempt to sand off the paint from the fretboard!? (I haven't strung it yet as the frets are all glossy)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Depends on how nice this guitar was before the paint - if it's really nice, treat it like a piece of furniture and strip off the paint!.

If not, put on one string and see if the paint layer is thin enough not to fool with your fingers pressing down the string to make a specific note!.

Have you slapped this "friend" yet!?

Of course you can do you what you said and use steel wool and stand off the fretboard!.

Get to slappin'

Scratch it of or repaint it if you can!. Or even try to use something to wipe it!.
