Question: What synthesizer did Heart's Howard Leese use with a guitar!?
In the late 1970's or early 1980's, I remember reading an interview with Heart's Howard Leese!. When the Wilson sisters broke up with (and fired) the Fisher brothers, Leese stepped up with more guitar work!. On one song, he said he played lead "flute" (with three or four actual flautists) by installing a special pickup in the neck of his guitar, connecting it to a frequency-to-voltage converter, and then running the voltage into the VCO of his synthesizer!. He said he was playing flute on the guitar and it annoyed the flautists because he sounded like them!. I'm trying to track down the make and model of the synthesizer Leese used onstage - and the song, too, if anyone recalls!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hi Cindi

In that era, Howard was using a 'Moog Synthesizer' for all his effects!. This was one of the earliest and best syn around!. This synthesizer had an awesome flute sound as well!. I know, I recorded some it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
