Question: How would you bring up this subject/proceed in this conversation!.!.!?
okay so im 15 and i really want to act, like you have really no clue, and i know that tons of other people of this dream and the chances of this coming true are like 1 in a zillion and there are girls out there prettier, and more talented and with more experience but what they don't have is my will power, my driven attitude and my passion and mind set!. there is just one issue: my parents are the type of parents that want me to have a regular job, a steady job, something that i can rely on but if i start out now there is a good chance that i can still change my mind, and if i get something it will help with college!. But i don't know how to bring it up, there is on open casting in my area soon that i could have a chance in but i can't do it w/o my parents!. Any suggestions would help! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

its good that you want to start so young because that could get you college scholarships so your parents shouldnt have a problem with that part but you should also be sure that you ALWAYS look on the positive side of this!.
if everyone thought that there was too little chance or they werent pretty enough or talented enough or they worried about experience then theatre would be dead!.
prettier is an opinion!. talent must be acted upon, not taken advantage of (like you see many people doing)!. and there will always be somebody who is better than you!. its a cruel fact of life!. you'll always be better than someone else, too!. and of course people are more experienced, they have years on you!. 15 vs 30 is a difference but you'll be there someday!.

its so wonderful that you are passionate about the arts!. creative expression is something that has been admired since humans came about!. it is part of our DNA!. you could start by talking about college and some steady carrer you would be okay with on the side (you'll need it to pay bills anyway), so your parents can see where you are headed relative to their wants (with authorities, you will almost always need to do a fair COMPROMISE)!. then it would be good to switch to scolarships and paying for college and bring up that there are scholarships in theatre and you can do a minor (or major as time goes on if that's what you want, but not mentioning that yet might be good)!. tell them you need experience to get them and then when you think you've talked them into listening enough you could mention the auditions!. you have plenty of years to learn and gain experience and you can act as a side job to a steady one!. dont lie, dont sneak, just tell them the honest truth, but in the right order!. i know plenty of adults who would cut out if you just got right to the point and refuse to listen to reason so i suggest you think through the whole conversation realistically before you make a move!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you are serious about acting, you still need another career to fall back on!. Have you heard of starving artists!. Actors are artists and can face long stretches of no work!. Tell your parents that you will study in other areas, but still want to try out in acting!. Tell them it would be good experience just to gain self confidence!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
