well look im not a expert but i know the basics you first thumb is F and you thumb and first finger is G then the with your middle finger and you first finger with your thumb is C and then your ring finger and the rest is D!.!.!.!.!.but the top half of the clarinet is regular notes and the bottom is the high notes !.!.!.!.but its been a whileWww@QuestionHome@Com

I'm writing this assuming you are talking about the Bb clarinet, as that is the most common!.

First, I want to set a few things straight!.!.!.
"Me"-3!.5 and 4 are not reed sizes, it is the firmness, the higher the number the firmer the reed!.

"marie87"-again, I say this assuming you are playing Bb clarinet!. Those are not the fingerings, I'll explain in further detail the correct fingerings below!.

Usually, first clarinet has the highest notes, as well as more melodies!. Second has the next highest notes and some melodies, third has the next highest notes, but not many melodies, and so on!.

The clarinet is somewhat like the recorder, but it requires more air through it, and has more pieces!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It kind of is like playing the recorder, but there are reeds!. People who have been doing it for two years use a 3!.5 or 4 size reeds, but less experienced people use smaller reeds!. You ocassionally need to by new reeds!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
