Question: Is Saxophone pretty much similar to a B-Flat Clarinet!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Saxophone is easier to initially learn than clarinet!. (See the similar YA below!.)

Music written for saxophone is transposed, so regardless of whether you play an Eb Alto, Bb Tenor, or Eb Baritone sax, the fingerings for all saxes is the same!. The sound just comes out in a different pitch range for each instrument, so Tenor sax is closest to the clarinet's range!.

The fingerings on the sax are nearly identical to the middle register of the clarinet!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Alto saxophone is in the key of Eb, and it does not have the same fingerings as a clarinet!. Tenor saxophone is in the key of Bb, so you can play the same music as a clarinet and it will sound right!. None of the saxophones have the exact same fingerings as a clarinet!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The tenor sax is very similar to the b-flat clarinet!. It wont sound the same but it will sound good!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
