That's true of any skill!. When a person is learning a new task, most of the attention is focused on performing the simple mechanics (ie, pressing the right key)!. With practice, that person can do it without as much conscious effort!. Some people call that development of "muscle memory!." Repetitive practice helps to build muscle memory!.

Eventually, if he gets to professional level, most of his thoughts are focused on higher-order things, such as phrasing, tone color, counterpoint, etc!. The professionals don't have to spend any time on thinking about which finger to press a certain key!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have heard that learning new and complex processes stimulates growth in the brain as far as the development of new cells!. So this could hold true for your statement!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
