Question: School musical audition advice!?
I'm auditioning for my school musical this Wednesday, and the only way i want to be in it is if i get a lead, or supporting!. There's no way i want to go if I'm going to be standing in the sidelines and only singing when everyone sings!. how should i prepare myself!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

You should prepare yourself by changing your attitude!. That kind of thing may fly in school, but in the real singing world, you would never be hired!. The world is full of divas, and they may get hired once, but they're not invited back year after year!.

If you really want to perform, you'll develop a cheerful and cooperative attitude, accept the director's decisions without arguing or complaining, be nice to everyone, even those people who aren't nice to you or who get "better" parts, follow directions, and have a wonderful time!. This will prepare you for the real performing world, where you have to eat and you're happy to get a paycheck!.

The fact is, without all those people standing in the sidelines and singing, there wouldn't be any musical for anyone to star in!. Learn to block, learn to dance if required, learn to sightread music, and get lessons for singing, dancing and acting!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
