Their is no way you can get a silver trumpet for that money!. Just think how much an ounce of silver is worth!. Now weigh a silver trumpet!. Their is about $800 worth of silver!.

Now , as for the one you posted, that is silver - plated!. Let me warn you that the plating is very very thin and once it chips, it will affect the tone!. Silver plating gives it a smooth sound but don't be surprise if a brass trumpet, in the same price range sounds as good or better!.

Your best bet if you're just starting off is to go to your local music center and try out different ones!. Personally, I've never heard of Lauren trumpets or any other instruments for that matter!. Your best bet would be w/ Bach, Conn, Selmer, ect!. good quality American brands who you can trust!. You will probably have difficulty finding a silver trumpet for under $300!. Usually silver trumpets are seen in indermediate and professional level trumpets, and it sounds like you're looking for a student one!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
