Question: Can guitar strings break on their own!?
Seems the guitar strings in our house break themselves!. Is this possible or has Mr!. Nobody been trying to tune the instrument!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
old strings will, cheap strings tuned a few octaves too high do the same thing, living in areas that promote corrosion, Hawaii is a prime example, can have the same affect, and depending on the guitar, if electric the bridge may have a sharp edge that's cutting them, other than that beat your little brother!Www@QuestionHome@Com

it depends on which type of guitar you are talking about!. Acoustic guitar strings can break more easily because the guitar is made of wood!. when there is high heat the wood either tends to relax or tighten!. if it tightens then the strings will snap!. if it loosens then your guitar will just get out of tune!. it is best to store acoustic guitars at room temperature and normal humidity!. electric guitars aren't as easy as acoustic guitars to get out of tune but the storage tips are the same!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yeah, this has happened to me!. I've pulled my guitar out of it's case to find a broken high E!. Weather, humidity, and improper tension can all cause strings to break!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hi

If the guitar is tuned to high, the smaller strings tend to snap!. you need to tune it in pitch!. On the other hand, if the strings are old, they will have a tendency to break!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

strings don't break themselves someones tightening them to much and plays them so they breakWww@QuestionHome@Com
