Question: Singers I need your help, please!!?
I need a soprano/mezzo soprano song from a musical to audition for competition at my high school!. They only pick TEN people out of all the people that audition and then take them to competition with the song that they chose!. Its crazy and so I really need to step up my game!.
The song that I sing also cant be from a common musical!. -well not necessarily uncommon but the judges at competition hate when they hear the same song over and over again!.
So no Wicked, no Grease, no Disney things, no Adalades Lament from Guys and Dolls, and no songs from The Wizard of Oz!. You know what I mean!.
I can also sing opera, so any suggestions like that would also be very appreciated!.

You can sing opera! THEN SING A SONG FROM PHANTOM OF THE OPERA! All of the songs are beautiful, like Think of me, Wishing you were somehow here again, All I ask of you (duet), Music of the Night (another duet), etc!.

One that's not often done from Guys and Dolls is "If I were a Bell!." There are tons of great musicals out there--have you considered Hello, Dolly!, The Most Happy Fella, High Society, or any of the other great 30s-50s musicals out there!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
I have a sister who had an audition too for a soprano part!. She sang "Think of Me" from the Phantom of the Opera!.
