Question: Epiphone Firebird Question!?
Basically, i want to make a cheap guitar look more like a expensive guitar!.

Ok so i am going to purchase the epiphone firebird studio but i really like the silver plate on the firebird VII at the back where it has the inscribed firebird and epiphone logo!. Anyways i was wondering if the firebird VII's plate (looks like a 4-sided triangle,) and has no strings over it) was for looks because i want to see if i could get the seperate part and install it on the studio firebird!.

Can i get the part separately!?

Is the part for authenticity!?

If so, where can i get the part!?

--Seriously I hope this makes sense!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

I believe what you're referring to is the bridge tailpiece!.

The studio has a tune-o-matic with a standard gibson/epiphone stop tailpiece!. The other one has a tune-o-matic with a custom tailpiece!. This is what holds the ends of the strings in place!.

You won't be able to install the other tailpiece without drilling!. Not to mention it's going to look silly with a gold tailpiece and chrome hardware on the rest of the guitar!.

But your best bet to find it is from ebay!. I don't know of anywhere (except perhaps direct from epiphone) where you can get that part!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
