Hi Softball:

Sounds like youve got a pretty interesting guitar!. I absolutely would not take it to a Pawn Shop or an Antique Dealer!. Neither one of these are qualified to make a fair appraisal!. I will enclose a link to a place here in Michigan that has been around forever!. They deal in Vintage Instruments, and have one of the most knowledgable appraisers in the business!.

Just to give you an idea of the types of Vintage Instruments they deal in, they have a 1960 3 pick-up Gibson Les Paul selling for $120,000!. they also have a 1941 and 1944 Martin Acoustic selling for 40,000 and 30,000 respectively!.

I would definately trust this dealer to give you a fair and honest appraisal!. Im sure by calling their toll free number, (or emailing them) they would be able to give you the requirements they need in order for them to assist you!.

Hope this has helped, and good luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

For the past 20 years that maker of guitars has not sold for over $1200!. and generally sells for around $600!. The guitar itself is irreplaceable!. Its unlikely to have any intrinsic value, only sentimental!. The more you insure it for the more you pay for insurance!. The only good estimate you can get for a musical instrument is to compare it to a like guitar on ebay!. Likely impossible!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Mandolin Brothers will appraise your instrument, for a fee of course!. You will need to supply them with photographs!. They are probably the premier fretted instrument appraisers in the United States!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

there's a section in wikipiedia on the regal co!. 1908 wow, looks as if they've been around awhile, try Lester's link, but I'd be more inclined to find a good apraiser in your aeraWww@QuestionHome@Com
