Question: What are the differences between a banjolele and an ukulele!?

I've been interested in the ukulele recently but I love the look of the banjolele!. What are the differences exactly!? ( i don't want a banjo btw!.)

- Which one is easier to play!?
- I've heard that the ukulele is easy to learn, will it be any different to begin with a banjolele instead!?
- Is there a difference in sound!?
- How much practice would I need to become good at it!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

A banjolele (also called a banjo-uke) is a fretted ukelele neck on a small banjo-like body!.

AFAIK, they're tuned and played exactly the same as a regular guitar-shaped ukelele, but the banjo-like body gives the banjo-uke a louder, brighter, more percussive sound than a conventional guitar-shaped uke!.

I don't play uke, so I can't tell you exactly how much practice you'd need to get good at it!. As for how easy it is to learn uke, I imagine its like guitar or any other stringed instrument -- probably fairly easy to learn a few chords and strum some basic song accompaniments, but requiring quite a bit of practice to get really, really good!.
