Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Hi, I am a violinist myself and please do not be offended when I tell you that the Violin, or any instrument for that matter, is not an instrument to be taken lightly!. First of all, if you are going to begin playing the Violin, you will have to practice a lot, get a teacher early on as to not develop bad habits, bad habits are easy to develop and hard to break on the Violin!. It may seem very boring for the first few months and possibly longer, and to play at a decent level with a good sound takes months of dedicated practice and eventually years of experience, as with most instruments!. Music is not for the faint of heart, there are many rules, practices and traditions and attaining great and true talent requires true dedication on the part of the learner!. But you will find that with true devotion and passion to playing, the most beautiful outcome of your years of practice will be creating beautiful music which will please your soul and brighten the lives of those around you and the greatest feeling self fulfillment anyone can experience!. To learn an instrument that someone else thinks is cool or easy is a big mistake!. You must listen to the instruments and make your own decisions!. Most have a limited view of each instrument!.
