The additional thing which gives it "tone" control is a small capacitor needs to be wired in parallel with the wiper of the pot!. That makes a variable-gain low-pass filter to cut some of the high frequencies from the signal path!.Www@QuestionHome@Com It's the peice underneath the tone knob!. The peice the knob connects to and turns!. The knob that increases or decreases tone!.
