don't forget to learn your B chord; practice combinations of chords in this manner A1 B2 C3 D4 E5 F6 G7 take the 1, 4 and 5 chords and combine them then take the 2,5 and 6 then the 3, 6 and 7 then the 4, 7 and 1 then the 5,1 and 2 do you see the pattern!? also check out http://www!.justinguitar!.comWww@QuestionHome@Com

if you're in high school, i suggest you go buy an electric and join your high school's jazz band!. you will mostly play chord progressions, but you will occasionally have to play songs that are entirely single notes!. trust me, this will help you with chords A LOT!. it was maybe the best decision of my life!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You need to learn bar chords, not just F!. also, you need to learn different voicings!. For example, a lot of rock rhythm is played on the bottom three strings only!. Go get a couple of lessons from someone who plays in the style you are interested in!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

What I have found best is go to your local music shop!. Try to find a sheet that describes how to read tabs and gives you examples of where to place your fingers to produce chords!. You might find someone there you can watch to see how they place their fingers on the fret board of your guitar!. I know this might sound like a step back but try to find out what finger or fingers produces the weakness in your f bar chord!. Gently strum each string and you will find the pressure point you need to work on or the finger that needs improvement!. If it is pressure, you will hear a muffled noise throughout when strumming slowly down the strings!. If it is just one finger then you can single it out and try doing some exercises up and down your fret board to improve your strength!. If it is the whole chord that sounds muffled your hand position may need a little adjustment!.I understand what you are saying!. I have very small hands so it has come more difficult to manipulate them to adhere to the fret board!. You just have to find what works best for you and when you start out it will not sound perfect!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
