Question: Why won't they succeed on Broadway if they don't have any Jews!?
In the musical Spamalot, I never understood the song 'You won't succeed on Broadway', why does a musical need Jews!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

The song is a rather politically incorrect take on the historic influence of Jews on Broadway -- as performers, writers, composers, musicians, and financiers!. Jewish contributions to theatre have been many and varied, and the song takes a good-natured shot at the phenomenon by saying that, unless you have Jews involved in your production, you aren't likely to succeed, because historically most successful shows have had the involvement of Jews in various capacities!. As I said, rather politcally incorrect!. It's the same kind of "gasp and laugh" humor used by Mel Brooks in "The Producers!."Www@QuestionHome@Com
