Question: I just auditioned for Thoroughly Modern Millie, and I got a terrible part!?
I really wanted to be Millie, but my director never really gave me a chance when I auditioned!. I know I should just suck it up and be happy for what I got, but all my friends got better parts than me, and I'm really depressed!. I don't know what to do, and how I should approach this!. My director has never given me a good role or anything, and my mom will probably be disappointed and my friends probably had much higher expectations for me, and we've done show many shows, and now I have to sit back and watch them while I sing in the ensemble!.!.!. help!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's very disappointing when you get bypassed for parts!.!.!.!.don't feel bad though as it's only this director's opinion!. Just keep on telling yourself every step forward whether solo or an ensemble will be one step closer to your big opportunity!.

I once entered a singing contest with a close friend, we were doing great & starting to travel!. We did a duo with two guitars!.!.!.well we made it to the regional finals and lost out to bagpipes!.!.we never even placed!.!.

Boy was it quiet on the way home!.!.!.we were devastated!.!.!.but after my pride healed!.!.I tried again the next year as a solo artist & took the top prize!. So hang in there and sing your heart out with passion!. The only failure you ever experience is when you stop trying!.!.!.Wish I could hear you!Www@QuestionHome@Com
