Both of those are very well-made, durable pedals!. Either is very smooth and adjustable!. I ended up with a set of DW 7000 doubles because they were a bargain during a Guitar Center sale!.

If I had to do it over again, I'd go with Pearl (any model)!. There is one compelling reason - less reciprocating mass!. That heavy construction on the Tama and DWs is really overkill!. Although that makes them very solid and durable, the extra mass slows down the pedal response!. In comparison, the Pearls are just heavy enough to be solid, but not too thick as to slow them down!.
