Question: What are some good Chorus Warm-ups that you do in your class!?
What is a good 3-5 minute chorus warm-up(s)!? It can include and is not limited too: Play Acting Situations (Picking Apples, Doing Laundry, etc!.), Massage (Only one minute), Yoga, Warm-ups (from dance, sports, etc!.), and Deep-Breathing!. I know a few things to do, but I just don't want to look stupid in front the whole class!. So, any help would be appreciated!

Thank You very much in advanced!Www@QuestionHome@Com

1!. SCALES ON DIFFERENT VOWELS - go up and down scales on "a", "e", "i", "o", "u"

2!. ONE BY ONE WE LOVE TO SING - have kids sing "one by one we love to sing" starting low and increasing a half step each time they sing!. also, with each half step, change the words from "one by one we love to sing" to "one by one and two by two we love to sing" to "one by one and two by two and three by three we love to sing" etc!.

3!. FI--YA - sing - do mi, do so, do (high do) so me do - on the words fi -ya, fi-ya, fi-ya-ah-ah-ah, going up half steps each time

4!. BABY BEE BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ - sing "baby bee buzz buzz buzz" on half notes so-mi-fa-re-mi-do-re-ti-do leaving the last z until the very end, teaching students not to drag out the last consenant in a song
