Nothing special about the strum, just down stroking the strings with the fingernail!. What caught my attention is the nice accuracy of the chord formation with the other hand!. The girl has obviously put in a lot of practice forming the chords for this song!. She's not really all that good, but she's not bad either, especially the barre chords she makes!. Her voice is nice; she needs to practice a lot more, but she has talent!. Here she' s just imitating a song she liked and learned!. Her strum is the least noticeable thing about her presentation, however!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

using her fingernails against the strings for her sound, looks like her index and middle finger!. I've seen that strum with three fingers also!. There are variations you could do by using one finger first and follow through with another, kind of like tapping your fingers in a 1,2,3 beatWww@QuestionHome@Com

I know of no proper name for her strumming technique!. She is using two fingers, and using her nails as she strums downward for more volume!. If you read the comments below the video, she verifies the two-finger use!.

Its pointless to strum the guitar like that, i guess she can do it that way, but if she wants to get better, she needs to strum the correct wayWww@QuestionHome@Com

I don't think their is a real name for that strum unless it's called a 2 finger strum,I've seen it used a lot, but it sounds good enough to me!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

that looks like a "what is this instrument i am holding/i wanna play the flick/i don't know how to play the guitar" strum!. it isn't a strum, just her flicking the strings!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

This is the "I just picked up a guitar yesterday" strum!Www@QuestionHome@Com
