hey Im a music major and ive been playing for 13 years!. i play sop, alto, and tenor so i hope i can help!. Im super tiny so I actually couldn't reach those keys when i started either!!! Its not a matter of reed size unless you just cant make any sound on it on any note!. If its a matter of reaching the keys it just takes finger practice!. You'll be amazed at how much it will help you!. The reason you have issues producing the low notes is probably because you're not pushing through with your air!. Use your stomach air not your throat air (which many players tend to have a bad habit of)!. If you're using your air correctly you should be able to blow any note on the tenor!. Try playing a simple scale down to the D keeping in mind pushing through with your air!. Then start from the D back up starting the exact same way and pushing through with air the exact same way!. Then work your way down!. It wont come overnight!. You need to keep at it everyday!. Don't feel defeated!!! You'll get it if you work at it : )Www@QuestionHome@Com
