Question: I want to teach myself how to play guitar!?

Hey there, so I want to learn how to play guitar rather badly, we can't exactly afford lessons right now, but I do have a guitar!. Any tips!? I've never touched a guitar before!. xDWww@QuestionHome@Com

Find Tabs of songs you like and learn them(911tabs!.com)

the first string is the smallest, sixth is the biggest,

standard tuning is EADGBE starting from the sixth string down

Learn Major chords first cause their the easiest then I guess Barre chord forms becaus they're the same no matter what key i!.e!. (ABCDEFG)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I bought some cord cards to teach myself!. bought a guitar and DVDs and I still couldn't do it cause the strings on my guitar broke and then I couldn't tune it it was a mess so I left the guitar in the case the cord cards are laying around the house my 3 year old plays with them and the DVDs they are still in the box so best of luck with that wished I had started maybe we could have learned with one another and helped each other out, maybe one day I will get it all together, anyway again Best of luck to you!.!.!.!.

Buy a book, First when learning you have to know the timing & practice notes!. You can't just start playing tones to your favorite songs cause then u won't learn, u need to learn the basics first!. Good luckWww@QuestionHome@Com

get a chord book and a begginner guitar book without the standard musical notation rather than tabs(easier notation for guitar)!.youtube is another good sourceWww@QuestionHome@Com
