i know, music is my life also!. i'm a girl but my voice changed too!. i used to be able to do 1st, 2nd, and alto!. and now, i can't do 1st at all!. i think it's just part of growing but DO NOT GIVE UP! just try to find pieces that are more comfortable for you voice!. i'm sure your teacher is just trying to help but keep going and you'll get where you want to be!. good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't actually sing, but play piano!. I suppose your voice could be changing, and then maybe you won't have exactly the same range or timbre!. But I'm not sure how important that is, unless you want to sing only certain things, that your singing now!.

I don't know what your teachers reasoning is, if there is some kind of risk involved to your voice from singing!.!. but ordinarily i'd say!.!.!. not practicing for two years will have a massive negative effect on you that will take a long time to compensate for!. Even if your practice becomes more difficult and you have to go back over stuff as your voice changes, you can at least stay in the zone!. Maybe ask for some general exercises!.!. or if you don't spend the time singing, spend it training your ears, transcribing, working out the choir parts!. If you love singing, stay in the big music game anyway you can!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Now I'm assuming your a guy and this is your voice going through puberty!.

It sucks I know and it is likely your singing will be affected - but that doesn't mean you should stop! You should maybe consider other vocal ranges that will better suit your fast changing voice!.

It is possible through exercises to hone your voice and I have heard that it works - ask your singing teacher about them!. Remember it is better to be patient and play it safe rather than push your vocal cords enough to damage them!.

Good luck to you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i think you could bring your lost voice back, actually it has not been lost perhaps it's just a part of your physical growth, we all know that our voice changes as we grow older and my sister who graduated in UP (University of the Philippines) once told me that when we reach our 21 years of age, that's our final voice the time when we are to discover if we are really good in singing, but in my experiences i learned that when we use our talent everyday we get good at it and even master it!.!.!.but if we are lazy to utilize it won't take long that we will start loosing it!.!.!.so that's my advice just practice it everyday, every moment you have the opportunity and you will be amazed at results, one more advice stop eating sweets like chocolates if you're really serious about getting that lost voice of yours, watch PDA for more tips in developing your singing talent!.!.do not shout, avoid murmuring, massage your face, the muscle under the lower jaw, Www@QuestionHome@Com
