Well, for a starting guitar, it's best to go with something that will deliver quality but you won't take too much of a loss on if you decide not to continue!. I always recommend starting out with an acoustic, because electric always Adda's that third dimension that can scare off the first time player!. It's also much easier to get into an acoustic guitar for a reasonable amount!.

If you were looking at getting started on an electric, typically you can get a starter pack for $450 that would come with everything you would need, but it also pays to look in the classifieds, I see them all the time for $200 and less, but quality is something that starter brands (Squire, Epiphone, Jay Turser, sometimes Yamaha and "Radioshack brand") struggle with!. You can almost never keep them in tune and sometimes playing can get difficult, though if you went this route I'd defiantly recommend Epiphone, because they can still have some half-decent guitars!.

For an acoustic, it's much easier to get great quality for less price!. A Fender acoustic will run you in the ranges of $150-$200, though for $260 (sometimes less) theres brands like Art and Lutherie and Seagull that you can get something to be proud of!.

From $200!.00 to $2000!.00 And it depends if you want an acoustic or electric guitar!. Taylor and Martin make nice acoustics for about $600!.00 Get one with a solid spruce wood top, it makes the best sound!. Good luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No more than $500!. I got my first guitar for 300-something and it still sounds fine!.

Don't invest big money into buying just the guitar, cause you'll need equiptment as well (unless your getting an acoustic)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
