Changing the capo during a song sounds a bit much!

But to answer your question!.!.!.!.

A capo is a bar that fits across the strings and neck to allow open chord playing (simple G, C, Am chords, etc!.!.!.) on any position up the fretboards!.

Usually this is to be able to use simple chords with a different key(higher) than open E tuning!.

This can help if you have a higher vocal range and have trouble singing lower notes with the regular tuning!.

When you use the capo, you can still play the chords just like regular chords, with the capo acting as the nut (the top of the neck)
If you place the capo on the 3rd fret for instance you will be going up 2 notes in range so all the chords will sound right, but the tone is higher!.

There are a few different types of capo!. one is a simple bar with an elastic strap that hooks around the neck!. There are others that lock mechanically with a lever!. Classical guitars use the elastic one mostly!.

You might want a lever type if you have a steel string or electric guitar!.

Hope that helps!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

A capo is a device you place on the strings of the guitar to make the guitar sound higher!. The capo acts as the nut of the guitar, so playing chords doesn't change at all!.

I use a metal screw-on capo, which makes it easier to adjust on the neck and move up or down!. But there are different types with varying price ranges!.

If a song uses a capo, it will stay on whatever fret it's placed on for the entire song!. It doesn't move around!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
