I also live in the S!.F!. Area and I've never had a problem taking a "still photography" camera into a concert!. I took my camera to a lot of shows!. But,of course, There were no such thing as digital cameras during most of my concert going days!. also depends on what kind of concert it is!. An orchestral performance might frown on camera clicks going on!. Rock show, fine!.

One bit of advice: DON'T USE A FLASH UNIT!.
Unless you are 10-20 feet away they are useless!. You know like when guys hit a home run and the stands light up with flashbulbs!? those people are dorks!.!
All you will get is a real good picture of the back of people's heads!.

And frankly, as a former pro musician, I wouldn't have appreciated a flash bulb going off in my face and blinding me!.

But, you shouldn't have much problem with a camera!. Just don't bring a sound recording setup too!.!.!.they frown on that! :-)

Security searches are usually for cans bottles and alcohol and dope, weapons, stuff like that!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
