Question: Are there any downsides to electro-acoustic guitars!?
Other than cost I imagine, I assume its more expensive!.

But I want an acoustic guitar primarily, but it'd be handy to be able to plug it into an amp on the odd occasion, but are they more difficult to use and stuff!?

And also how much more are they on average if anyone could tell me!. Thanks!Www@QuestionHome@Com

there is as far i know no hold ups to an electro-acoustic other than cost which is what you've said!. It depends on the make that you're going for on the cost, you could always buy a nice looking acoustic and stick a pick up in it which I think is cheaper!. In general I'd say you's be looking at £150 to £200 for a nice one, which I have no idea how much that is in dollars sorry!. But cheaper ones are around that cost!. Sorry about the £-$ thing hope that helps

It sounds like you are on the right track!. There really is no down side, and you can, just like you say, plug it in when needed!.

They do cost a little more than the average acoustic, but not very much!. Maybe 20% more!. You might want to get one that has controls right on the guitar body, that makes adjustments while playing much easier!.

As far as brand name, nearly any brand would be fine for a beginner!. My only caution is to avoid FENDER!. They make great electric guitars, but their acoustic guitars are junk!.

Have fun and enjoy!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
