The sound of your guitar has nothing to do with pedals, but the quality of the guitar!. What pedals do is make your guitar sound DIFFERENT, and cool!. :-)

Some amps have effects built into them!. If yours doesn't, then you can use multi-effect units or just your standard individual effect pedals!. The nice thing about multi-effect units is that they include a few pedals, you can program each pedal to make one or more effects sound when you step on it!. And it's very convenient!.

To connect individual effects to your amp requires the use of cords!. Use short patch cords to hook up multiple effects, to save you a big headache in having to untangle long guitar cords!. What you want to do is place the effects in between your guitar and amp in a chain!.

Effects are in the $100 range, but are worth the money!. Be sure to stock up on batteries since effects use up batteries like nothing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
