If that's all that you can afford at the moment-yes!. I took piano lessons and i paid more than that 30 min sessions, but i was going every week!. Just make sure that you actually sit down and practice diligently like you're suppose to, and I promise that you will get there!. It might take you longer than you want to only going 2 a month, but it will be worth it until you can afford it like you want!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you love it, you'll progress, just keep playing when you get a moment and persist, even you get frustrated when you can't get something!.

I got this book!.
http://en!.wikipedia!.org/wiki/The_Virtuos!.!.!.

The exercises are pretty monotonous, especially for such a beautiful sounding instrument, but that's the nature of most exercises!.

But this book will help a lot when you can't see a teacher often enough to fix those mistakes!. Technique will make things easier the more you go on, when you start to practice in front of people and your technique is down, you can play with your eyes closed because your fingers and your ears will do it all for you!. Yikes, $30 for a half hour lesson is certainly expensive, so I can totally understand why you would only be going twice a month!.
I teach piano to three students and they come once a week!. I find that this is the best case scenario because they have some time to practice in between lessons and I still get a chance to do something new with them each week!.
I would say that if you can only go twice a month, just make the most of your lessons, and try to pick up as much as you can!. Make sure that you're practicing a lot between your lessons and hopefully you'll be able to make the most of this situation!. You could also look into some of those "teach-yourself" books and online resources as supplements to your lessons!.
Hope you enjoy playing the piano and I hope I was able to help you out a little bit! Www@QuestionHome@Com

For now, it might do!. It is more important that you practice every day, even if for just a half hour, everything that you have learned in your lesson and more!. also, go back to the earlier pieces you have learned and rediscover them with enhanced mastership of the instrument!. It will be very satisfying, and will give you a sense of accomplishment!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Weekly is best - and $30 a half-hour is the going rate in many locations, if your teacher i degreed, experienced, and qualified!. Adults often make alternative arrangements - and every other week is better than not at all - if you make sure that you practice regularly!. GOOD FOR YOU for doing this! I suspect that your teacher would like to see you each week - and think of it from THEIR business end, too!. Perhaps you can SHARE a time with someone - they go on your weeks off!. Not the best - and not the easiest to work out - but it cannot hurt to try!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hey!. 30 bucks for half an hour sounds like you have a qualified teacher (one with a music degree)!. If you can, try find a student teacher ($15-$25) and then take one lesson a week!. Because you're a beginner, half an hour is fine!. Once you reach grade 3 or 4, hour long lessons may be required, but for beginners, that's fine!.

Twice a month just means you won't progress as fast, but it's fine, too!. It really just depends on how fast you want to learn!.

Hope you have fun learning! :)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
