If you chose an instrument because it's 'easy', you will give up within a year!. Any instrument is 'easy' is you only want to be a hack, just pick one and flail away!.

If you want to be a musician because you love MUSIC, then there are no easy instruments!. It takes years of dedication to be a good musician, and anybody who's in it for anything but the love of music won't have the will to put in the long hours of practice to be any good!.

A band huh!? Kind of cool!

Well, for every band needs a piano/keyboard!. For the band you could play three-finger chords every measure and that should be easy!. Go to a music store before the band is ready and learn some chords in one of the those piano for beginner books!.

You could also try drums!. Every band needs a sweet beat!. And as long as you have rhythm, you're a drummer!. Not necessarily; but you can get away with being a 'drummer' for a while!. :P

Each instrument has its own easy parts and difficult parts, but I'd say the piano or synthesizer/keyboard!. You can look at the progression of the notes---it's laid out right in front of you!. All you have to worry about is reading the music and fingering!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Go to a music shop and try out a guitar, bass guitar and drums!. You will get a feel for the right instrument!. There is a learning curve with all instruments, you will have fun though! Www@QuestionHome@Com

You should learn an instrument that you want to learn!. What sounds best to you!? An instrument takes a lot of practice to get good at so don't get frustrated when you don't get it at first!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Clarinet isnt to bad to learn, and then saxaphone is pretty easy too, if you can play one of those two you can probably play the other!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
