Question: What is the nicest thing to do for a choral director!?
My choral director is going through a lot right now between all the stuff me and him have to get done!. I am his accompanist!.
He is a great guy, but I just want to do something nice for him!.
I am 16, he is 35!.

Anybody have any ideas, I am fully open to them =]

Thanks so much!

Could you and the choir surprise him with a 'gift certificate" to his favorite restaurant!? If everyone chipped in you wouldn't have to come up with all the money!. But if you want something to be from just you, be careful, if he is married his wife probably won't like him getting a present from you!.!. the cute, darling, young, accompanist, unless it is to both of them!. The wife might think you two have something "going on"!.
Maybe he has a favorite composer, musician, vocal artist and you could get him the latest CD of that person!.
You don't need to spend a lot of money to let him know that you appreciate him and all that you are going through!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Something tailored to his interests or life events!.
-gift certificate for his favorite restaurant/coffee shop/book or music store
-if he's a coffee or tea person (as MANY choral directors are), you could get him a basket of assorted coffee/tea paraphernalia!.
-If he's got a wife and/or kids and you know them or know a little bit about them, you could get a gift for the family!.

also, someone already suggested it, but you might want to get the whole choir to chip in so you can get a bigger gift, but then it wouldn't be as personal, so I'm not sure that's what you want!.

Some good gifts I've given and/or received:
-Deluxe coffee maker and 2lbs of coffee (group gift)
-Custom printed t-shirt/hat with inside joke from the year!.
-Candles and bath stuff (you have to present this one carefully, it could seem inappropriate)
-3 star restaurant reservation (and sufficient Euros to cover a meal for 2) for a band director vacationing in Paris that summer (group gift)
-Gift certificates (coffee shop, record store, restaurants)
-CDs, movies/TV shows on DVD (can be group or individual)
-an Elmo tugboat for a choral director whose son loves Elmo!.
-Chocolates, popcorn, or candy (try to find out what kind he likes - lots of places have prefabricated boxes of various kinds of snacks)Www@QuestionHome@Com
