Is it typical to name your guitar?

Question: Is it typical to name your guitar!?

My friend thinks it's weird!.
I'll say,"I'm gonna go play Bueller out to play", and he'll be like dude you are nuts!.
Lol, yeah I usually name them after some 80's movie character, either that or some colonial times person(I have one called Ben Franklin), or an artist, writer, or musician/song(Warhol, Chuck(Palahnuik), and Mr!. Jones)!.
My friend has a guitar that she calls Betsy Ross and she says that it's a guy!.!.!.
Yeah she takes it a little to far but I love her anyway!.

But really, I kinda thought most people name their guitars!.!.!.

No it is not typical, but it also is not wrong, either!.

Bo Diddley named his square guitar The Twang Machine!. And B!.B!. King named several of his guitars Lucille, from which Gibson Guitar brought out an entire model line called B!.B!. King Lucille model and later the Little Lucille guitar!.

I don't think that MOST people name their guitars, but I bet enough of them do so that it is really not an abnormal thing!. After all, unless you're into smashing your guitars onstage as sacrificial victims, you probably have a sentimental affection for your guitar!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hell no it's not weird I have 5 guitars and I named them all and when I ask for one I just say the name I gave it instead of the brand!. Its easier that way instead of saying "hey hand me that Ric 330/6 AFG" I just say hand me molly!. I pick my guitars names from fav songs or girls I like!. I picked Red Molly from 1952 Vincent Black Lightening the Reckless Kelly Version!. !.!.!.,But hey maybe we are crazy!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

mine's Sonic Death of Plums!. I think it depends on the individual person, but I know (of) lots of people who named their guitars!. So I say that, while it may not be "normal" it's fairly common!.
