Question: What is 'classical contemporary'!?

For a college scholarship audition, I have to sing two songs out of 4 categories!. I already have one song picked out ('Tis the Last Rose of Summer' for the romantic period), and I still need to find another song!. Can someone please clarify what classical contemporary music is and possibly provide an example!?

Like would songs from Josh Groban and Andrea Bocceli be examples!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Unfortunately, neither Josh nor Andrea are composers, they just perform so-called popera which means "cheap drumbeats added to the aria itself"!. Contemporary classical music features composers like John Adams, Karl Jenkins, John Rutter and the like!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
