Question: Reading drill for marching band!?
Okay I think I mostly get it!.!.!.!.tell me if I'm wrong!. The home side line is the back and the home hash is up fron where the drum major is and stuff!. You always start at the home side line or home hash and then read where you are going!. THIS is where I get confused!.!.!.

So let's say you need to go from 10 steps behind home side line, 3 steps OUSIDE right 45 yard line TO 10 steps behind home side line, 2 steps INSIDE right 45 yard line!. How do you get that if 45 is a line!? Is there like 2 lines for each number!.!.!.or what!? Please help!.!.!.I have more band camp tomorrow and I'm confused!.

NOTE: This is not our show we are learning!.!.!.this is from rookie camp and I'm just trying to get it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Home sideline is the front (where your audience is)
Home hash is the hash closest to the home sideline!. (often called the front hash)!.

There are two lines with each number on a football field except for the 50 yard line which is just one, the middle!. The yard lines go like this!.
5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 45, 40, 35, 30, 25, 20, 15, 10, 5
Remember, 50 is the middle!. That is why you have a Right 45 yard line and a Left 45 yard line!.

Inside vs!. outside!. Inside is always towards the center of the field!. 2 steps INSIDE the right 45 yard line would be 2 steps toward the middle from the 45!.

because that was just for rookie camp, ignore it!.
but when it comes to actual drill, ask your section leader/upperclassmen for help!.
