Question: Drum kit tuning!?!?!?
im a little confused!?!?!?
people say that the to heads need to be at the same tension
and the pitch is really up to you!.!.!.!.!.!.but was is a good pitch because i know you can go TOO low or TOO high
but what pitch is right

actually, the bottom head should be slightly lower/looser than the top head (this prevents the drum from going "BOING")!.
if you want to tune your drums to an exact pitch, try setting the floor tom to a "C", then #2 tom to an "F", then #1 tom to an A flat)!. Tune the snare to sound crisp & high!.

Basically drum tuning isn't something you learn but it's what feels and sounds good to you!. There really isn't a right or wrong way as long as you like how it sounds!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

each drum has a range of tensions that will work for it!. Too tight will sound choked, where too loose will sound dead!.

The only way to find the sweet spot is to experiment with each drum!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
