Hi Ashley

A guitar tuner will detect a drop B!. Most tuners give you a choice of high, medium ,low range but generally, it will detect it for sure!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Why buy one, there all over the Internet for free, so try these,
http://www!.guitarforbeginners!.com/ on the left hand side of the page you'll see a box that says how to tune, there's one three down on the list!.!.!.!.!.!.!.if not type it in, (tuning the guitar) and it will come up !!!
http://www!.8notes!.com/ (click on the guitar, the electronic tuner is in the upper right hand corner)
The free tuner is on the home page !!!!!!!! Then put this in favorites so all you have to do when you tune is hit that icon and use your mouse to hit the string and tune it, it's great !!!!!
I even make an icon on my wallpaper, so that my students can tune, and they love it !!!!!!!!! As for buying a tuner, they have complete instructions that come with them and they are very easy to understand !!!!!!!!!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

some will, but as a general rule the one's from walmart wont!.
go to a good shop and they'll be more than happy to show you
if buying online you'll get instructions with with your purchase but little else, see where I'm going with this!?
actually the guitar professor has a pitch pipe, chord finder and some other stuff and it's about $20, thats how I'd go,
a kaypo comes in handy tooWww@QuestionHome@Com

i recommend this tuner!.
http://www!.musiciansfriend!.com/product/K!.!.!.
it's a korg tuner!.
does guitar and bass!.
tune plugged into the tuner or not!.
allows you to tune Flats ( so if you want your whole guitar downtuned a half step!.)
only like $15!.
also will play the tone (note) out loud for you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You plug the guitar into the tuner!.!.!.the string you are tuning needs to be within a half tone of what you want it to be!.!.!.pluck the string, turn the tuner!.!.!.watch the needle!.!.!.
Tip: tune up to the the note not down!.

Sorry, custom tunings are up to you!.!.!.one string at a time!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, it would tell you!. Pretty much, you strum each of your strings, and it tells you whether it's in tune or not!. It'll also tell you which way and how much to turn the tuners!. They're fairly cheap at Wal-Mart!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It will tell you if you are playing the note flat or sharp!. Another type is on that plays the correct note and you tune it by ear!. You can use one free on: http://www!.gieson!.com/Library/projects/u!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
