Dont push down really hard and strain your fingers!.!.it takes a while to get every note right!.!.you'll have to form calluses at your fingertips and that takes a while!.!.!.try practicing chords to gain finger strength!.!.!.Do not ignore the role of your thumb at the back of the guitar neck!.!.!.your thumb should be pressing against your index finger while playing!.!.!.fingers should be placed just behind the frets!.!.!.not over them!.!.not way too far behind them!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Your finger should be pushing right before the fret!. Try different amounts of strength to find exactly how much you need to use!.

If you are just starting out, then this is normal!. If you practice everyday, then your finger strength will increase and you will hardly feel it!. also, your guitar might be a bit cheaper!. Most guitars that are a little expensive have jumbo frets!. These are frets that are big so that you don't have to push down nearly as much and let's you play much quicker!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Play the note directly above the fret, not on it!. You need the string to be "dead" against the fret!. The noise you are hearing is the string buzzing against the fret!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
