Your cheapest bet is to get an adjustable microphone stand!. If you're handy with tools, you can easily just attach a piece of wood to the top and cover it with a really nice cloth!. It is an inexpensive quality stand that many professionals use!.

A professional one most use if they're not into making one themselves is the Maher stand!. It runs about $140!. Here's the link:

It's expensive because it's also collapsable, will last forever, and looks really nice!.
