Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Hey wassup The semi-hollow electric-acoustic have a very fat sound on account of the semi-hollow body!. I use it a lot if i am to play funky or blues type music!. The solid body like a Les Paul has more sustain and a very fat bluesy sound good for rock suck as led zep sound!. as for the fingerboard, the electric-acoustic has a thinner neck than a solid body but is very strong and in no way, weak!. Both are nice guitars, I have an old 1963 Les Paul, a Jackson which has a lot of sustain and a Gibson Es-345 like BB King!. All guitars are beautiful sounding!. Your choice!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Jazz, Blues - Go with semi hollow Country, Rock, Alternative - Solid Body That's not set in stone though!. You can get a good blues sound on a solid body too!. But that's a generic outline!.
