The best guitar solo to ever win a music award is Hotel California by the Eagles!.

No other artist ever got this award!. It is a classic solo , well thought of !.!.!.Forget the speed and all this finger-tapping stuff!. I am not knocking Van Halen !. Jennifer Batten (Michael Jacksons female Guitarist) was doing finger-tapping before Van halen!.
On the solo thriller, she composed the original solo but couldn't make it to the studio for some reason!. They gave the tape to Van Halen to learn that lead part!.

through the fire and flames by dragonforce is mostly keyboard actually, but free bird by lynard skynard has a really cool solo!. Hotel California by the eagles has a good solo!. If your looking for speed, like shredding then i would suggest looking at Steve vai or yngwie malmsteen!. The solo in run to the hills by iron maiden is cool!.
