Question: Is this a good beginner drum set!?
This is my first drum set ever, and I really like this one (price is nice too)!.

http://www!.musiciansfriend!.com/product/d!.!.!.

I would have to buy a throne (suggest a brand!.!.!?) and some cymbals (maybe some Sabians!?)

What do you think!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Looks like a pretty decent set!. It doesnt say what kind of drum heads come with the kit, but a good replacement head for most styles of music would be the Remo Pinstripe!. A lot of the heads sold on drumkits arent the greatest sounding, unless your spending a very high dollar for the kit!. American Musical Supply sells these drum heads in what is called a "prepak" !.!.!. 3 tom heads and top and bottom snare heads!. A good replacement kick drum head is either Evans or Aquariun!. Either one of these heads if proplerly tuned will make the kick sound like canon going off! Paiste, Sabian, and Zildjian are all quality cymbals, and have some decent cymbal packages starting at around 250 and going well into the thousands for some sets!. (custom sets) Definately avoid some of the budget brand cymbals such as "Wuhan", as they sound about like hitting a garbage can lid!. Good drummers throne!? Our drummer uses a Roc-n-Soc!. Padded, very comfy, and easy to adjust!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

That's a good drum for the price!. Get Sabian cymbals!.!. They are not expensive but widely used internationally!. As for the throne, buy one with a lower back rest!.
You will thank me because all the drummers have back problems after a while!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Those are good!. but zildjian and pearl are just good period for beginner or pro!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
