Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: first you're doing two things at once!.!.!.you have to be able to have the ability to multi task and control three things at once!.!.!.your singing, your left hand and five fingers, and your strumming arm!.!.it's not cooridnation!.!.!.it's more of mental stress on your mind, and you also have to remember the lyrics unless you're david lee roth and just improves lyrics at live shows!.!.but hey!.!.!.practice makes perfect!.!.!.have fun with it!.!.don't think about what yoru doing!.!.just do it!.!.!.that usually helps!.!.somewhatWww@QuestionHome@Com well, some people have a hard time walking and talking at the same time, or driving and talkin on the cell phone!.!.!. your brain attempts to focus on one specific thing!. the reason musicians can do it really well is that they have practiced!. i have had the same problem, u should have seen me up on stage, trying to play one last breath and singing it at the same time, this was a few years ago, and i realized that if you do not practice OFTEN, u will never get it!. i eventually quit, and took up piano, but MORE to the point, it takes practice, trust me, its not impossible!. but i know what you mean about coordination, and i agree, sortof!. there is some coordination to try and match up the lyrics to the guitar, and that also takes practice, but mainly its when u sing but not play or play but not sing, im sure u've experienced that!. but hang in there, and don't believe anyone who says its a god given talent cause its DEFINATELY notWww@QuestionHome@Com Its doing two different things at once, multitasking is always a challenge!. To give your all to two things at once takes practice!. I suggest practicing the guitar and singing seperately until you are extremely comfortable with both!.
