Pianos do have strings!. Where do you think the sound comes from !?
The hammer hits the strings and secondly, as you start from the bass and work your way up to the middle C, their are 2 to 3 strings per note!.

So, yes, strings are replacable and I broke one on my piano which is how I know!. The bass string broke and cost me $45 to replace!.!. Did it myself!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
