i started guitar in first grade so i know what you mean it kills for probably 3 weeks to 1 month and a half! putting aloe lotion (or any other cream) on them helped me! the more you play the faster they wil go away! good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I've heard that soaking your fingers in salt water may help, but I've never done that!. Don't practice immediately after taking a bath, or shower!. Your skin will be to soft, and do not apply any type of lotion that will soften the skin!. When it starts to hurt, just take a break, and avoid over doing it!. You don't want blisters!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Just keep playing and in about 6 months or so, you will have a good set of callouses and won't feel the pain any longerWww@QuestionHome@Com
